Oh yes, I know we’ve all been through it, but we didn’t all know how to deal with that hangover that you say is life-sick.
A friend said at one point that he really likes this “chill” state that occurs because of or thanks to (here you decide) hangovers. I can clearly say that I disagree with that statement. Everyone suffers in their own way and can choose the methods to get rid of this “bee” that last night was beautiful, and today attack you to the full. Last night you were the star of the dancefloor, maybe you wrote a few messages for which you didn’t have the courage, and today you regret them. You had a great time, and today you don’t even remember most of the moments. There’s another friend who’s the guide to your so intriguing past (usually that person is me). I’ve heard a lot of methods from my gang and I’ve decided to write about them, maybe I’ll give you more useful ideas for the next time you say you’re not drinking anymore. How about we debate them?
“Drys”
My favorite method! Something that helps me recover from the state of “I caaaan’t anymore” and “I’m a little hungry”. I love toast! And most often I combine it with avocado and tomato paste (guacamole without onions). Basically, I was doing it instinctively and listening to my body’s desire (i.e. lust), but later I found out that the theoretical part is quite convincing too. Avocado contains much more potassium than a banana, which is so necessary for an organism that needs to recover (tips for girls: avocado helps you to lose weight too). The antioxidants you find in tomatoes also help you recover faster, and dry bread has always helped me to save me from nausea.
Anything (water be)
Flatwater, coconut, or rose water. In fact, the bad feeling comes because you’re extremely dehydrated, and the best way to recover is to drink water. Coconut or rose water also contains antioxidants and electrolytes that will help you get through this horrible day. If you don’t like the taste of coconut water, you can mix it with a smoothie made of greens, which is just as recommended in this case.
Tea and (or with) Ginger
No coffee! As much as I love coffee and as much as you’d like to be able to make your tabs on this day, it’s absolutely not recommended to drink coffee. Coffee dehydrates you even more. Replace it with a green tea with ginger, or a tonic with ginger and lemon. In addition to hydration, ginger will also absorb your feeling of nausea and vomiting. (easy with the lemon)
Shake it like the last night
As much dizzy as you get up and want to stay in bed all day without even needing to go to the bathroom, one of the most recommended options is the movement. Once you start sweating, last night’s toxins are eliminated and besides the fact that you forget you’re sick, the endorphin levels go up and you get happier. And if you’re not so friendly with sports, call your friends you’ve been partying with, and invite them for a walk (maybe you can rebuild the route).
Ahhhhh, it’s too cold!
Come on, you can! Get out of bed, or at least roll over to the bathroom. Raise your foot and enter the shower (or bathtub), turn on the hot water, and slooowly change the temperature towards the cold one. Are you cold? Are you swearing? You know, the blood circulation’s on, the toxins are starting to subside, and by the time you get out of the shower, the hangover is gone and the partying beast in you comes back.
Are you sure next time you don’t drink?
